THE RANGER PARKA - Natural Khaki
Limited Edition
Description
Inspired by the bush-style outerwear worn by East Africa’s wildlife rangers, this limited-edition jacket is a tribute to those who safeguard the wild—steadfast figures who walk the land with courage, humility, and purpose.
Made from 100% Kenyan cotton in a sturdy twill weave, each piece is hand-dyed to a rich oxblood red—a color that symbolizes strength in Samburu culture. The oversized ¾-length fit is relaxed and functional, with a drawstring waist for shape, a generous hood, and both zipper and Velcro closures for secure layering.
We first fell in love with this silhouette after spotting it on Julia Francombe, founder of Samburu Trust, whose work with Samburu communities has long inspired us. The front is adorned with four hand-stitched ribbon bars, each one intricately beaded by Samburu women artisans using traditional patterns. A small handcrafted brass cowrie shell, fixed just above the heart, offers a subtle Kenyan symbol of prosperity and protection.
Individually numbered and one-of-a-kind, this is a piece for those who move with intention—honoring those who protect the earth, and those who are rooted in it.
Hand wash cold, hang dry.
